Each year, University of Iowa Health Care’s Graduate Medical Education (GME) leadership invites a distinguished visiting professor to engage with the academic community and explore innovative learning opportunities.

During their visit, the professor collaborates with program directors, faculty, leadership groups, and other stakeholders to share insights and foster dialogue around medical education and leadership. This enriching experience culminates in the visiting professor delivering plenary sessions at the annual GME Leadership Symposium, where they contribute thought leadership and inspire continued growth and excellence across the institution’s training programs.
